MS Office 2019 Released –              Worldox is Ready. Are You?

ready to run

Office 2019 is now available for Windows and Mac.  See https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/blog/2018/09/24/office-2019-is-now-available-for-windows-and-mac/.  If you are an Office 365 subscriber, you may already have it, and you didn’t even realize it!  The good news with Office 365 is that these types of updates push out to your machine automatically and are pretty subtle, so learning a whole new version of MS Office isn’t disruptive like it was in the past.

Are you ready, and is Worldox ready?  Worldox informs us that you will be fine so long as you are running GX4 and Worldox’s current Office 2016/Office 365 templates.  If you don’t have Office 2019, that may be because your office controls when updates get pushed out.  Talk to your I.T. folks to find out if you have it.

That said, there is no compelling reason or urgency to upgrade if you don’t have it, so don’t panic (https://products.office.com/en-us/get-started-with-office-2019).  In fact, we always think it is a good idea to let other people get cut on the bleeding edge instead of you!

So, the moral of the story … your organization should probably get on the latest code release of Worldox (GX4) sooner, rather than later.  If you are still running Worldox GX3 or earlier, and you need assistance with running the update and getting training on the new features, please contact us as info@affinityconsulting.com.
