Stay Focused with Outlook's Focused Inbox

Outlook 2016 introduced the Focused Inbox. The Focused Inbox separates email in your inbox into two groups. The Focus group contains email that Outlook expects to be most important to you. The Other group contains all of your other email. Check out this quick video tip from the Outlook Email live training session about how Outlook's Focused Inbox organizes email so you can be more productive and focused.

The Focused Inbox is great for reducing the number of emails in your inbox without setting up complicated rules. However, when using the Focused Inbox, you must remember to check the Other group to make sure you aren't missing any emails you need.

To turn on (or off) the Focused Inbox, go to the View ribbon. Then click on Focused Inbox to toggle it on or off. You'll either see Focused and Other or All and Unread at the top of your inbox.
